The screening of the 42nd Tehran International Short Film Festival began on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Iranmall Cinema Campus.

The national, international and subsidiary cinemas of Iran are the sections of this festival, and 57 works are present in the Iranian cinema section and the feature films section.

In the animation 20, experimental 20, documentary 21, adapted films 35 will compete. In the international section, 84 works from 55 countries are participating in the festival.

The 42nd Tehran International Short Film Festival will continue until Friday, October 24 at the Iranmall Cinema Campus.
